The Miller family marked my last shoot for the Christmas season. We had a blast and the kids enjoyed eating the props a lot more than posing with them - which is fine by me! With the exception of the upcoming couple shoot, there will be no need for candy canes anywhere in my near future.
Thanks to my seasonal promotion (that ends in January), I ended up getting quite a few photo shoots booked for 'after-Christmas' cards. This particular shoot consisted of a long-time friend, her husband, and their grandson that was only in town for a couple more days. We had a great time using seasonal props even against the desolate desert landscapes!
I know, I know, I know... Where have I been?! Allow me to catch up...
Right before Christmas, my 'pre-game' for the beginning of 2012 consisted of a photographer canceling on a family reunion of 25 people. After a friend called in a bit of a frenzy, I agreed to take on the shoot to the best of my capability. After many family portraits, crying babies, and frantic attempts to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time, I was pretty pleased with immense amount of photos I ended with. To summarize the night, I think this slideshow will offer a thorough preview.
